St. Rose School offers classes to three and four-year-old children. They must be three years old by September 1st and be fully potty trained to enroll.
The preschool program, at St. Rose is child-centered and uses developmentally appropriate practices. Each day, children are encouraged to experiment and explore the classroom environment and materials. We provide for the total child’s development through music, art, science, fine and gross motor development, language skills and social interactions. Some of the cognitive skills the children will learn will be alphabet and sound recognition and number recognition. The children will practice writing skills daily, and learn some basic sight words. Religious education includes daily prayers, bible stories and songs. Preschoolers will meet with specialists outside our classroom for both Music and P.E.
